"Packet" makes me think of a package of seeds. You sow a seed, but what springs up looks much different. The difference between the body of the seed and the body of the plant is somewhat of a surprise.
I still remember my surprise at reading Boreham for the first time. My heart was strangely warmed as I read through "Thomas Charmers' text" in Life Verses Volume One.
Here was a writer that combined so many elements that moved me deeply: story, history, illustration, poetry, beauty, quotations and more. I had forgotten how much I liked wonder-filled literature, and reading the lovely story of Thomas Chalmers woke me from my slumber. It felt like a new day. I devoured the rest of the book and the series.
