What is ‘Men Alive’?

Men Alive’ is an organisation dedicated to the special needs of men from teens up. In particular, it addresses issues related to financial success, masculine self-esteem and skill with regard to intimate relationships. Men Alive could simply be called mateship.

‘Men Alive’ usually meets on the first Saturday of each month for Breakfast with our Pastor and a great time of fellowship with other men. Men Alive also conducts special dinners, outings, camps. And often engages special speakers from time to time,

What Goes on at a ‘Men Alive’ Gathering?

Breakfast is first. This usually goes for about half an hour. The men talk informally over some great food

Next, A session using a video or guest speaker follows in line with the purposes of the group. While a certain amount of traditional teaching is provided, the emphasis is on self worth, becoming better men, attitudes, marriage relationships and anything else that helps men to fulfil their destiny in life. Each man has the opportunity to get physically involved in building on his natural male strengths.

Special additional gatherings are called from time to time to progress particular practical projects. Such projects may include financial training for young men, mentoring skills for older men or preparation for a men’s retreat.

Individual Needs

For men who have particular needs related to financial health, low self esteem, emotional discomfort or relationship issues, one on one private consultations may be booked with the ‘Men Alive’ facilitator.

In general, the facilitator will provide information, friendship, support, coaching and mentoring as required. This may occur directly, or by way of referral to another expert source depending on what is required.

The ‘Men Alive’ facilitator does not however, provide psychological counselling or therapy. ‘Men Alive’ is a support organisation which offers practical help based on successful, proven personal ability and experience only.
