Godly intercession is the key to any successful multiplication movement.

Too often we think of intercessors as background players when they are actually on the front lines of ministry. Their role is crucial. Without prayer, we can accomplish nothing.

We must ensure we are providing ample support, opportunity, and encouragement for our intercessors.

The following key steps must be considered as we mobilize sufficient prayer support for a church multiplication movement in a region:

- Identify key intercessors.

- Provide necessary training and resources for intercessors.

- Create a system that helps intercessors to raise-up and coach other intercessors.

- Develop a strategy for matching intercessors with church planters soeach planter has his or her own intercession team.

- Give ample opportunities for interaction and contact between intercessors and church planting teams.

-Employ as many means possible for communication from church planters (e.g. telephone, email, prayer bulletins, newsletters), establishing clear expectations as to the frequency of communication.

-Create a two-way system of communication so intercessors have an
outlet for providing feedback to planters.

-Establish channels of communication among intercessors and regularlyscheduled meeting times.

-Regularly evaluate and prioritize prayer in all the churches in a region.
